WAHOOOOO!!!!! Great news!!!!! Just found out that Kristin at LogYourMemory.com has featured my layout (A Boy Can Dream, pictured in my last post) as part of her "real life" inspiration for the week. We can always dream, right?
Just when the sun begins to shine it's happy face, we hear that we are in for 18 MORE INCHES of the fluffy white stuff. Man! We are getting bombarded this year. Kids are off school, AGAIN and most likely will continue to be for the rest of the week. Yes, their dream has come true. But what about for the rest of us? The dream of SPRING! The dream of warmth, and sun, and vehicles without 4-wheel drive? Not happening? Ok, what about the dream of driveways shoveling themselves, or at least kids who will do it willingly? I know, I know... DREAM ON!
That leads me to todays layout. A fun little ditty about my son who looks OH SO HAPPY :-) to be out shoveling. Take a peek and enjoy the much needed downtime that winter storms always bring.

Where is Spring?!?!
I like snow, but this is RIDICULOUS!!! I spent three hours shoveling, and NO, it's not finished. After seeing my best friend (and primo design queen) Lisa Hetrick's post with her spring creation, I was inspired to create this fun, and wishful!, layout. Even used the spring butterflies that I designed for Lisa's blog header :-) Have fun in the snow and stay warm!!!!

Looks like Maryland is in for some serious SNOW!!! Growing up in northern New York has kind of tainted my view of the Maryland "state of panic" that occurs over such precipitation but nonetheless, I'm excited for the much needed downtime that the impending storm will bring. In the meantime, here is a page created to show my kids' dual-weather personalities. They LOVE the beach but can't wait to hit the hills when it snows! Stay warm and enjoy the ride.

my mojo is back!
I finally came to the decision that my personal art should NOT be on the same site as my business stuff. Should I have made that decision before now? Probably. Hindsight is 20/20. So here I am, launching my "creative blog". I feel like the last few months of teaching graphic design and CS4 programs ( I love, love, LOVE Photoshop!!!!!) have inspired me to do more of my own art. Not so great for the income, but don't worry, my client work is still there too (you can find that on my other blog, which I will post when I'm finished revamping it).
As for now, I want to pose this question, "Who are you?" It's something I've been thinking a lot about lately. We all get so wrapped up in the lives of our families that it seems easy to get lost. Sooooo, show me what you've got! Create a collage of YOU. Make it serious, silly, whatever you're in the mood for. Just play. Then send me a link so I can see your creations. My Photoshop class had a lot of fun with this assignment. Hope you do to!
